The Macaw are a group long-tailed and brightly coloured parrots. Humans have been attracted to these beautiful birds since time immemorial, for both their companionship and their plumage. Although they make for highly attractive and somewhat entertaining pets, there is some concern about their conservation in the wild.

This digital painting was drawn on an iPad 3 in 2015 using the Paper app (originally created by FiftyThree, now owned and managed by WeTransfer). It is printed on gallery-wrapped canvas (art wraps around the frame) and has been given a protective gloss coating to ensure its colour and brightness remains brilliant for many years.
