Asian Elephant Watercolor

The second of three pieces I had planned for this week; the Asian Elephant (Elephas Maximus).

The largest living mammal living throughout Asia (from India to Borneo) is currently classified as Endangered but their population is growing.

This piece gave me some trouble & I found it difficult to get through. Elephant skin has so much texture & detail with folds & creases that I wanted to capture that it kinda stressed me out a little & I’m not sure I did it justice really, but I didn’t want to overwork it.

Because of that I didn’t take many process photos as I went along, but I do have the full footage on video check that out below.
