2nd piece for 2020
This absolutely fabulous-looking creature is the Australian Cassowary.
This shy but extremely territorial bird can grow to around 5-6ft tall and possesses a bony casque on its head and feet with large claws which they can use to deadly effect to protect their territory.
They are currently endangered due to loss of habitat.
I didn’t get many process photos or video of this piece, unfortunately.
