Inertia[WIP] Typeface

During the past several weeks, I’ve been working on a new typeface, and I believe I’ve got it to a stage where I’m confident enough to showcase it.

As I’ve been learning more and more about creating and designing typefaces, I thought I should finally get around to investing time into this design, even though I’ve had the basic concept for it for over 20 years in one of my old sketchbooks.

Titled INERTIA[WIP] (for now), this typeface is purposely intended to be extremely wide, boldly horizontal, and uniquely confident. I think this has to be the most comprehensive typeface I’ve created to this day; it includes capital and lowercase characters, numbers, small-cap alternates, common special characters, as well as alternates and ligature combinations (with more to come).
Also, because of its width, this typeface probably works best in large dimensions and is certainly not one you’d use for lots of text.

I am still testing and improving things where I feel it is necessary, but let me know if you see any glaring issues or shortcomings. I’m still learning so I’m happy to receive any constructive criticism that helps to improve my work. Once I’m confident that I’ve put my best effort into the typeface I’ll release it and make it available as a font.

Cheers!
