The Emperor Penguin. Measuring up to 155cm and weighing up to 45kb, makes this the tallest & heaviest of all penguin species.
This flightless bird inhabits Antarctica and is best suited to swimming and diving in the ocean where it gets its feed of fish, krill & squid. They can dive down to 500m & stay under for up to 22 minutes!
They are currently classified as Near Threatened, but closer to Endangered due to habitat loss, but they are a protected species in most countries.
